We are recruiting activity support workers and senior support workers in our specialist care homes in Kingsthorpe and Duston in Northampton.

Supporting people with acquired brain injury or learning disabilities of all ages, your role is fun, active and varied. You’ll do lots of activities – from personal care to shopping, cooking, gardening, games, taking service users trampolining or even rock-climbing.

You have at least 12 months’ care experience, ideally in a residential setting. You value working in a positive, supportive and rewarding environment, helping our service users to live happy and fulfilling lives.
You’re compassionate and positive with a can-do approach. Most-importantly, you’re kind, caring and enthusiastic. You’ll be willing to learn and want the flexibility that working shifts offers. Ideally, you’ll have an NVQ 2 / HSC or equivalent qualification in care, but if not, then we’ll provide free training so that you can achieve this or other qualifications to develop your career.
As a Care / Activity Support Worker at a Richardson Care home, you’ll support our service users with acquired brain injury or learning disabilities to achieve their goals – however small – and share in their successes. You’ll work with people of all ages and assist with daily living – both in the home and during a range of activities in the community, so no two days will be the same. You’ll join a team of carers in a warm, friendly environment, who are dedicated to providing excellent care.
Location: Kingsthorpe or Duston, Northampton | Full-time; 39hrs per week
Salary: £11.25 to £12.65 per hour + benefits
You’ll have at least two years’ experience in a supervisory role and NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care. Ideally you’ll also have a full driving licence. You’re well-organised, proactive and have a caring nature. You enjoy working in an independent organisation and the opportunity to make the role your own, and to have a positive impact on the lives of staff and service users.
You’ll lead a team of activity support workers at one of our specialist residential care homes. Your responsibilities will include running the shift and allocating tasks to other staff members to ensure that our service users take part in safe, meaningful and enjoyable activities. You will be responsible for administering medication and mentoring junior staff.
Location: Kingsthorpe, Northampton
Salary: £13.69 to £15.39 per hour + benefits, full-time
