At times when individuals are under additional stress or their circumstances become disrupted, placements for people with learning disabilities or an acquired brain injury can break down. Consequently, they may need an emergency referral to a new placement. This could be because they are living with their family or are in a care home that’s not equipped to manage their complex needs.
At Richardson Care we’re experienced in dealing with emergency referrals and we manage them thoroughly, professionally and very quickly to ensure the smoothest possible transition for the service user.
We have a dedicated telephone number for emergency referrals which are out of office hours: 07850 772634 and our experienced team can assess the service user and make a decision within 24 hours. We are committed to helping people in need, and we’re skilled in looking after people with behaviour that challenges.
As well as completing all the clinical assessments and putting together a care plan for the service user, there are the practical aspects to consider. Our full-time maintenance team is employed directly by Richardson Care and is on hand to make any changes necessary. This ensures that the room is fully equipped and comfortable for the service user, meeting their specific individual needs.
