At times when individuals are under additional stress or their circumstances become disrupted, placements for people with learning disabilities or an acquired brain injury can break down. Consequently, they may need an emergency referral to a new placement. This could be because they are living with their family or are in a care home that’s not equipped to manage their complex needs.

At Richardson Care we’re experienced in dealing with emergency referrals for adults with learning disabilities or acquired brain injury and complex needs. We manage them thoroughly, professionally and as quickly as we can to ensure the smoothest possible transition for the service user.

As well as completing all the clinical assessments and putting together a care plan for the service user, there are the practical aspects to consider. Our full-time maintenance team is employed directly by Richardson Care and is on hand to make any changes necessary. This ensures that the room is fully equipped and comfortable for the service user, meeting their specific individual needs.
