Our long-term community neuro-rehabilitation service at 144 Boughton Green Road has been re-accredited as an Approved Provider by Headway. The specialist service for 14 males with acquired brain injury and complex needs was deemed ‘Outstanding’ in two categories and ‘Good’ in the remaining four categories, achieving an overall grade of ‘Good’.→ Read the rest

Our specialist home at 23 Duston Road, has been rated ‘Good’ in a recent inspection by the CQC (Care Quality Commission). The independent regulator found the service to be ‘good’ in all areas: safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led, providing “exceptionally-tailored care, support and treatment.”→ Read the rest

Congratulations to Tally, Registered Manager at one of our long-term community learning disability and complex needs services, and her team for a brilliant monitoring visit from West Northamptonshire Council (WNC).

WNC monitored our homes at 2&8 Kingsthorpe Grove to ensure that we deliver the service that we are contracted to provide for individuals with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).→ Read the rest

We are delighted to have been ‘Highly Commended’ by the panel of judges in the NR Times 2023 awards. The award for Innovation in Neuro-Rehab was hotly contested with nine organisations being shortlisted. They were recognised for their willingness to embrace innovation and embed forward-thinking and often sector-leading practices into their service, for the benefit of patients and families.→ Read the rest

We would like to thank all of the family members of the service users in our care who took part in our annual survey.

The results of the survey completed at the end of 2022 show that:

  • 100% of respondents were happy with the care provided
  • 100% felt that their relative was treated with dignity and respect
  • 100% felt that staff were friendly and approachable
  • 90% said that their loved one’s quality of life had improved since admission to the service
  • 94% would recommend Richardson Care, if appropriate.

The CQC Emergency Support Framework (ESF) was launched on 1st May, running until 30th September. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, routine inspections of residential care homes and other providers were suspended, so the ESF offered a structured framework for regular conversations between the CQC and care providers.→ Read the rest
