Specialist Residential Care

At Richardson Care, we provide specialist residential care and support for adults with acquired brain injury and separately for adults with learning disabilities. We are also experienced in supporting people with associated mental health issues and behaviours that challenge.

With six residential care homes, we offer a portfolio of services that can assist you with even the most complex of placements. These include:

• Post-acute residential care and therapy following discharge from a brain injury clinic or specialist ABI nursing home
• Intensive neuro-rehabilitation for adults with an acquired brain injury or traumatic brain injury
• Slow-stream brain injury rehabilitation and a home for life
• Residential care and support, and a home for life for adults with learning disabilities
• Person-centred therapy and rehabilitation programmes facilitating a pathway to independence
• Management of associated behaviour that challenges, complex needs and mental health needs
• Therapy for physical and mobility difficulties
• Respite, emergency respite and top-up rehabilitation and care
• Transitional care

Each service user who lives in a Richardson Care home has access to our experienced multi-disciplinary clinical team. This high-calibre team of neuro specialists are committed to maximising outcomes for our service users.  With neuropsychiatry, neuropsychology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy support, our service users benefit from a holistic approach to their rehabilitation and ongoing care needs.

In addition, our services benefit from a highly trained and stable staff team, including an extensive bank team, which is employed to keep agency use at a minimum.
