Our long-term community neuro-rehabilitation service is suitable for men who have an established diagnosis of acquired brain injury (ABI), associated cognitive difficulties and co-morbid conditions. These may include mild to moderate symptoms of mental illness and personality disorder and progressive neurological conditions.
This service, located at 144 Boughton Green Road in Kingsthorpe, Northampton provides a long-term stable home environment in a community setting for men with acquired brain injury. The focus is on long-term rehabilitation, quality of life, development of daily living skills and behaviour/risk management.
144 Boughton Green Road is an attractive, detached Victorian house that accommodates 14 men. It has large enclosed gardens, which are wheelchair accessible and often used for summer parties and barbecues. There are also various seating areas and quiet spaces.
The home is wheelchair accessible with wide corridors and doorways. There are five bedrooms on the ground floor, a large lounge, dining room, kitchen, conservatory and pool/games room.
All bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms. Service users can bring their own items of furniture if they wish to personalise their bedrooms, and they can have their rooms decorated to suit their preferences.
The home is situated in Kingsthorpe, close to local shops, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets, and is just a few miles from Northampton town centre, so a wide range of leisure facilities is available nearby.
