Our long-term community neuro-rehabilitation service at 144 Boughton Green Road has been re-accredited as an Approved Provider by Headway. The specialist service for 14 males with acquired brain injury and complex needs was deemed ‘Outstanding’ in two categories and ‘Good’ in the remaining four categories, achieving an overall grade of ‘Good’.→ Read the rest

Our specialist home at 23 Duston Road, has been rated ‘Good’ in a recent inspection by the CQC (Care Quality Commission). The independent regulator found the service to be ‘good’ in all areas: safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led, providing “exceptionally-tailored care, support and treatment.”→ Read the rest
We are pleased to support the publication of the Glasgow Coma Scale: an international standard for education and practice with adults. The Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS)1 has been updated and published in the British Journal of Neuroscience Nursing.
The publication explains the background of the GCS, which was first published in The Lancet in 1974 by Graham Teasdale and Bryan Bennet, who worked at The Institute of Neurological Sciences, University of Glasgow.→ Read the rest
Our brain injury neurorehabilitation services at The Richardson Mews and The Coach House were visited by assessors from Headway recently and have been re-accredited as ‘Approved Providers’. They rated ‘Outstanding’ in the systems and processes domain and ‘Good’ in all other areas.→ Read the rest
After just 16 months at Richardson Care, we are pleased that Kevin* has been able to move to a specialist supported living environment.
Kevin was admitted to our ABI Rehabilitation and Transitional Service at The Richardson Mews following a traumatic brain injury after being involved in road traffic collision while he was in his early twenties.→ Read the rest
