Victoria Condon joined our psychology team in October 2019. After completing her Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Psychology, she is excited to be working full-time at Richardson Care. She supports service users at The Richardson Mews and 144 Boughton Green Road who have acquired brain injuries.

Victoria has a real passion for working within psychology, and brain injury in particular. She says: “A brain injury can cause a sudden massive change to someone and their family, so providing psychological support is hugely important. I enjoy building relationships with service users and learning from them, as well as them learning from me.”

Working with people with a wide range of needs and abilities, Victoria enjoys applying her knowledge to practical situations to support service users in activities of daily living. She relishes the responsibility of the one-to-one and group work that she conducts at Richardson Care, while valuing the support she receives from Pedro and the rest of the psychology team.

Victoria feels that the ‘open door’ policy within the homes at Richardson Care provides important social benefits to the service users. For example, they can drop in and say hello to the admin staff, maintenance or admissions team, as well as the psychology team, so it feels like a home.

Victoria volunteered at Headway Leicester from 2018 to 2019, supporting service users with acquired brain injuries to develop skills such as reading and writing, and encouraging socialising through playing games.
