In addition, Deanna works as a Healthcare Assistant at Northampton General Hospital, assisting with personal care, providing reassurance to patients and their families, as well as other responsibilities.

She combines her experience and skills in her role at Richardson Care, evaluating situations quickly and dealing with clients sensitively. She adapts to changing situations, finding solutions to meet customer needs and can deal with complex financial issues. She’s a caring person and willing to help anyone. A team player, who is bubbly and approachable, Deanna loves talking to people.

Deanna says: “I work with a brilliant team here at Richardson Care and really like that it’s a family-owned business. The Activity Support Workers are great too and the fact that the family are happy to have some of their relatives looked after in our homes says a lot. We’re not just caring for people, we’re enriching their lives – giving them fulfilment and supporting them to make a meaningful contribution to the community. And I really like that the service users can just pop into the office and have a chat with us.”

Outside work Deanna enjoys socialising and travelling, whether it’s being a tourist in London – she’s walked over the O2 Dome, zip lined in Wales and taken a speedboat trip on the Thames – or going further afield. Her favourite place is Egypt.
