Registered Manager, ABI Service

Jenna Samuels

A good listener with a collaborative approach to management, Jenna joined Richardson Care in March 2025. She manages our neuro rehabilitation service at The Coach House, which accommodates up to 14 adults with acquired brain injury and complex needs.

Jenna started her career as a healthcare assistant in mental health. She gained experience supporting patients with a wide range of conditions such as acquired brain injury, dementia, personality disorders, bi-polar disorder and schizophrenia. Later she moved into delivering Home Care for people of all ages who had physical health needs and/or learning disabilities.

Jenna had a change of career and gained a Law degree and worked her way up through the ranks in the Housing Sector supporting people with low-level to complex mental and physical health needs, Jenna worked at both an operational and strategic level in management and senior management roles.

She says: “There were many similarities and transferable skills from my previous 15-year housing career. As well as supporting people with a range of needs and managing staff teams, I was involved in commissioning support services, care plans, risk assessments, audits and compliance – just different regulatory bodies.

“In my role at Richardson Care I’m responsible for overseeing the home and making sure that everything runs smoothly. I love learning new things and that the role is so varied – no two days are the same.

“I think that what makes Richardson Care unique is that it’s a smaller organisation with a strong MDT (Multi-Disciplinary Team of therapists). Having access to the MDT makes a difference as not many services have such good specialists available to support the service users in their homes. And Silvia, our Head of Care, has lots of time for everyone. She’s very fair and very knowledgeable.

“I love that Richardson Care is family run and that Laura and Greg are actually involved in the business. They come into the homes and really care about the people. Laura’s Grandma is a service user at The Richardson Mews and that speaks volumes. They come into see her regularly, so they see the service from both the owners’ and family’s point of view. I feel that we are really appreciated.”

Jenna is currently working towards her NVQ level 5 in Leadership and Management. When she’s not at work, she enjoys growing vegetables and doing different activities with her family. She’s also enjoys wellness activities, such as Pilates, yoga, meditation and spa sessions.
