Our specialist ABI assessment and complex diagnosis unit at The Coach House
Established in 1989, Richardson Care remains an independent family business and we aim to create a warm, family environment within each of our homes. We take our responsibilities to our services users very seriously, investing in their future to provide a long-term sustainable home.
Our specialist residential care and rehabilitation services are tailored to meet the needs of each individual, whether they have an acquired brain injury, learning disabilities, a combination of associated complex needs and/or mental health needs. We offer a holistic approach and comprehensive care packages supported by our multi-disciplinary clinical team. These include neuropsychology, neuropsychiatry, neurophysiotherapy, speech & language therapy and occupational therapy, which enable us to deliver positive outcomes for the service users in our care.
Our dedicated care staff and activity team provide consistent support, which reinforces the work of the therapists on a daily basis. All staff receive regular training in all aspects of their work.
We have six specialist residential care homes in Northampton: three for adults with learning disabilities and three for adults with acquired brain injury. This gives us the flexibility to provide a seamless care pathway and individual needs change. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and are regulated for personal care.
We are highly respected in managing different levels of challenging behaviour and our aim is to enable service users to fulfil their potential. We strongly believe that environment and social inclusion are at the heart of fulfilment, and that this combined with clinical care, leads to continual and successful rehabilitation or enhanced quality of life.
“We are very proud of our nephew and we are extremely grateful for your expert work in moving away from drug therapy to modifying his behaviour through psychosocial approaches.”
Dr & Mrs Clarke
“My son’s care has always been a partnership between the home and ourselves, and as we grow older and think about what will happen to him when we are no longer here, it is a great comfort to know that he is happy in his home and that he will always be well cared for.”
